Built by Jaguar, the XK 120C or C-Type was created to enter, and win the fabled Le Mans 24-hour race. It’s the ultimate prize for any manufacturer, an event that sees a field of the worlds most advanced sports cars race twice around the clock at the famed Circuit de la Sarthe, located in Le Mans, France.
The Famous Jaguar C-Type won the event twice, once in the cars first attempt in 1951 and again in 1953. This evocation of the famous 1953 “C” type is very true to the original shape and specification.
This Jaguar C-Type is a Proteus built C Type replica, Proteus (known as Copycats, prior to 1987) are a well-known replica manufacturer that create true to form representations of famous C and D Type Jaguars (among a number of other vehicles).
This car features all Jaguar running gear. With an accurate aluminium tub and doors, with the main body of this C-Type being of fibreglass construction, though true to the original lines of the car.
