Aston Martin AMV8 Coupe 1972.
This early AMV8 coupe was completed on 25/8/1972, still with David Brown and DBSV8 side badges ,as the late AM badging was not ready for the first cars.
Delivered new to Aston Martin Lagonda, or Company Developments Ltd, who had recently purchased the Aston Martin concern from David Brown Limited. Retained by them until importation into Australia by Kellow Faulkner Ltd ,who were considering being AM Distributors for Australia at the time.
Sold in July 1975 at 17,000 miles and purchased by us back in November 1979 at 43,000 and retained until October 1981 at 48,900 miles. Sold to a very long term AMOC member owner who retained the car for over 22 years until October 2004 at 91,000 miles. Always properly maintained, and now covering only 92,400 miles.
Full history known with a receipt and invoice file included plus the original handbook and other documentation.
In 2000 the car was given a high quality back to bare metal paint refurbishment in the original Cornish Gold colour, which is more like silver green in real life. The bodywork today bears testament to the quality of that refinishing. The original Olive Connolly leather interior and matching carpeting is maintained.
