Aston Martin DB MK III coupe 1958

The Mark III model is the last of the original DB range of Astons with the Tickford body work , and is equipped with the improved 3 litre engine.
Included in the original specification of this car is the highly desirable manual gearbox with the Overdrive option .This car also has factory fitted hi-lift camshafts, and a twin exhaust system.

Delivered on 5th February 1958 to the first owner in UK and registered TCG 444. Serviced by AML until 1965 at 15,775 miles, the car was privately imported into Victoria and registered here in 1974 at approximately 30,000 miles. Purchased and sold by us to a lady owner in 1998 at 40,340 miles, and again by us to the last owner in 2009 at 47,073 miles.

During this 14 year ownership, a full engine rebuild, using genuine AM replacement has been carried out by a marque specialist, including new clutch and other service work during that ownership and this DB Aston performs as it should with very smooth engine characteristics that typified these W.O. Bentley designed DOHC engines. A full receipt file is supplied for this work.

Finished in the original Deep Carriage Green colour , which is showing some patina and a lovely dark red leather interior.

Also fitted with a rare and operating Motorola Radio which when illuminated is back lit “Aston Martin”.

This is a delightful, low mileage example of the Mark III series with just the right amount of patina, but with the advantage of a fully rebuilt engine ,together with other ancillaries.

The original leather bound handbook, plus a replacement copy and factory brochures together with copies of the AML build sheets and service sheets accompany the car as well as other documentation and history.
