BMW 3.0L CSL

This 1973 3.2L CSL was first delivered new to the UK before taking up residence in Australia from the late 70’s. It was build number 396 of 500 CSL’s, however what makes this example even more unique amongst this very limited group is it being one of only two UK Delivery cars to be fitted with the 3153cc Batmobile engine coupled with a 5 speed Getrag gearbox.

After undergoing a careful ground up restoration in the early 90s this car has been fastidiously maintained by all of its owners, including over $56k in documented maintenance and improvements in the last decade. This has yielded several excellence awards at car shows and validates the care that has been taken to preserve this unique BMW.   

Fitted with a 3.5L motorsport engine (the original block and crankshaft accompany this vehicle), this BMW is remains a loyal CSL with ventilated disc brakes, fuel injection, leather steering wheel, wide Alpina alloy wheels and correct alloy bodywork. An exceptionally rare car, in impeccable condition that will not disappoint.
