According to the Original BMW Heritage Certificate this rare “dogleg” manual 528i was built on the 11/12/1978 and first registered on 2/1/1979.
Ordered in Australia and collected under the then Tourist Delivery scheme, the Original Service book reveals BMW services in UK, France and Switzerland before arriving in Australia in 1981.
A completely stamped service book with many invoices and receipts for work carried out on this 528i is included with car. In fact over $42,000 has been expended on the car over time. This includes a genuine new BMW supplied engine in 2005 at 230,805 klms, with an accompanying letter and receipt from BMW [Australia]. Continually serviced the car has covered only approximately
23,000 klms since then.
Currently fitted with expensive “Recaro ” seats and a Momo steering wheel.
However, the original seats and steering wheel are included with the car.
Bodily, this BMW is in excellent and original condition , and the 1 family ownership since new is reflected in the condition and appearance of the car.
