Datsun 260 Z Coupe 1974

Delivered new locally in October 1974 this Datsun has had 4 owners . A full set of handbooks, service book , wallet and factory brochure are included together with 2 sets of keys.
This is a matching numbers car with its original engine, and Australian Compliance plate from new.
In addition, there is a history file dating back to the early 1980’s .
This 260Z has however been in storage for some years, and does require refurbishment and restoration. The bodywork is very straight and original , however some years ago the car was repainted , in a slightly brighter shade of red than the original.
Unfortunately , while looking good in photos, the paintwork finish is quite poor in some places. Whilst not being unsightly and quite serviceable , most people will consider refinishing the car to a better standard.
The engine sounds sweet, but the rear brakes require attention , along with other areas.
With the huge interest, and relative scarcity of early 240Z or 260Z models , this car being both Australian delivered and original offers an opportunity to either undertake a running refurbishment or complete restoration.
Either way it is the “right” car with which to do this.
