This stylish coupe was designed in house by FIAT coachbuilders Reparto Carrozzerie Speciali, and was at the time the marque’s top of the line offering.
One example competed in the Miglia Miglia in 1954 with the crew of Giambertone/Mondiari/ Gamberluccia.
A feature on the model is a rare transmission using a flywheel that provides for clutchless gear changing once on the move.
Only 1104 Gra Luce coupes were built, and very few in RHD such as this locally delivered car.
Undergoing some restoration over past years this coupe retains all the individual features but with the addition of a set of genuine knock on chrome wire wheels in place of the steel disc wheels originally fitted.
Currently showing a mileage of just over 51,000 miles, but this could be a second time around. A similar replacement engine has been fitted at some stage.
Also included is a copy of the FIAT Heritage Certificate, Centro Storico Production sheet and AMOC Data Base sheet showing the car was first registered in Melbourne GNL 884 on 18/9/1956 when it was delivered new by FIAT Distributor Devon Motors .
Inspection by appointment.
