GTO 250 Recreation Coupe

This Ferrari 250 GTO recreation was constructed by a professional mechanical engineer and uses the very well balanced 1972 Datsun 240Z as a donor car. The construction took place in 2002-2003 and a full jigged rotisserie was used to assist with re fabricating the rails and tig welding a floor pan, prior to the reskinning of the body with the stunning 250 GTO styling. 

Mechanically the car has been fitted with a Lexus LS400 4 litre V8 which is mated to a 5 speed Supra gearbox. Weighing only 950kgs with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, the car features upgraded brakes and diff and ratios and has been designed for comfortable low speed driving, yet powerful and torquey acceleration and top speed.

With a beautifully retrimmed interior and Lexus air conditioning installed, this recreation offers high performance and style at a reasonable price.
