Commonly recognized as the “Interceptor” model, however this specification was always referred to as the Jensen SP and featured Six Pack triple Holley two barrel carb set up with the higher displacement 440 c.i Chrysler engine.

Only 232 SP cars were manufactured in total.

This SP was sold new on 1/11/1972 by Jensen Motors of Newbury UK and registered PNP 100L. The handbook reveals that this car was imported into Melbourne by Peter Manton Motors , who was a well known Australian Touring car champion with his Mini Cooper . Peter imported quite a number of Jensen cars in the 1970’s and this particular SP landed on the 16/11/1976 with a mileage of 11,643 recorded.

The Chassis register reveals this to be a numbers matching car finished in Cerise [ a slightly darker red] with tan upholstery.

After sales from Peter Manton Motors the car was owned by 2 long term owners, and this Jensen is an example of their care and attention over a long period.

Included with the car are a full set of Jensen Workshop manuals and Parts catalogues plus a box of assorted used parts and a large Collection of Jensen Owners Club magazines.

Just fitted with a set of 5 correct size Dunlop tyres this SP looks a picture, and represents a rare opportunity to step into the ownership of a truly handcrafted supercar with all the correct credentials.
