This Indy was imported into Australia by Alec Mildren who was the NSW Maserati Concessionaire at that time.
Finished in an attractive dark red with a tan leather interior this Maserati also has a full set of books and some history. The paintwork is in very good order and the interior likewise.
All told there were only 1104 Indy’s made, and this car was one of the 364 which were powered by the 4.7 litre engine, in this case coupled to the Borg Warner Automatic transmission.
Weighing only a little over 1600 kg these cars were quite responsive with good torque from the Maserati V8 engine with 4 Weber 42mm DCNF carburettors.
