This MGTC has been in single family ownership for over 55 years, since 1966.
Originally delivered new in Victoria and first registered YO243, then latterly JKC 192 .
Enthusiastically campaigned in the 1960’s and 1970’s in MGCC and University of Melbourne Car Club events as the photos depict.
The owners decided about 20 years ago to undertake a restoration to make this TC into a road, race rally specification.
Originally black, but now refinished in Buttercup yellow to a very high standard. The car sports “Brooklands “ screens along with cycle guards and 16” wire wheels, a configuration it has worn for most of its life. Reminiscent of the famous ex Makin/ McKenzie MGTC racing “ Buttercup” which was so successful in MG races for many years particularly here in Victoria.
With receipts for over 30k spent in recent times this TC is ready to be enjoyed as is. The hood frame and windscreen frame assembly are also included for those wanting to return this TC to a more standard appearance. The original handbook, period photos, receipt and history folder and workshop manual are also with the car. With so much work already carried out, this is a great opportunity to acquire an interesting T series MG which has been rebuilt with a view to being able to enjoy a sporting car in the traditional manner.
