The final iteration of the stylish and successful MGA series this Mark2 has experienced a recent outright Concourse award at the MGCC concourse.
Originally dispatched to New York in in January 1962 in LHD configuration and finished in Old English White with a red interior and unusually a light grey soft top. This colour scheme has been faithfully retained after a complete nut and bolt restoration by well respected MGA restorers in Queensland. This included the conversion to RHD although all these MGA models were manufactured in either configuration.
Only 8198 Mak2 MGA cars were produced and improvements over the early cars included a larger 1622 cc engine which enabled true 100MPH to speed. Included is a file containing a run down of work and other history, plus the Original MGA [1600 MK2] drivers handbook and the Heritage Certificate showing the car to be a matching numbers example.
This really has been a fastidious and thorough restoration of a hard to find last of series MGA, a classic in every sense of the word.
