This MGA Mark 2 was one of only 84 assembled CKD by British Motor Corporation in Zetland that year. A further 88 cars were assembled and sold in 1962 which brought the total production of 172 over the Mark 2 model span, before assembly began on the soon to be released MGB model.
This car being number 100407 and still having the original engine number of 16G CUL/112 is presented in the original Nurburg White paint code as depicted on the build plate.
There is a history file going back for some years, but nothing from its early years . We are still researching this.
This is a very nice , and original MGA , which has been well maintained and cared for by the last retired owner.
Apart from the added practicality of a chrome luggage rack and sitting on an attractive set of chrome wire wheels this Mark 2 has thankfully remained in standard condition .
The seating has been re trimmed as per original , so is in very good shape.
The black vinyl roof is in good condition as are the later type black covered side screens.
