This Australian delivered Mk1 Mini Cooper 1275 is still presented in the original livery of White over Sandown Red.
In 2019 the car had a comprehensive going over by respected Link automotive, and include a full brake rebuild, new clutch and pressure plate, exhaust replacement New Weber carburettor plus body seals and service exceeding $6,000.
The car does have slightly later fully rebuilt Mk2 1275 engine number and traditional English style doors with sliding glass windows.
In 2021 Link Automotive carried out a full engine rebuild to the tune of almost $7,000-00 for which invoices are included. This engine now produces over 100hp and provides spirited performance.
At this time a new electronic distributor, coil and HT were also fitted plus a new oil cooler and water pump .
More recently the car was treated to a refurbishment of the interior where required including re upholstery of the seas and door cards and new carpets, the work being carried out by Lahona trimming.
The bodywork is generally in very good order but the paint is older with a few blemishes. Nevertheless this classic Cooper S which has an indicated 1663 miles recorded on the speedo which we presume to be just over 100k miles, is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner and is realistically priced.
