Porsche 964 Carrera 4

The 964 has been described as the first real modernization of the seasoned 911 series; it incorporates the most technical advancement for the time however it personifies the classic feel and satisfaction of an air-cooled 911.

The all wheel drive Carrera  4 (C4 for short) is powered by a 247hp, 3.6L air-cooled 6 cylinder motor giving you a top speed of 163mph and hitting 60mph in 5.5 seconds.

Porsche claims that almost 85% of the parts in the 964 were new, such as the new power plant, coil springs instead of torsion bars, ABS brakes, air-bags, power steering, retractable rear spoiler and a more superior heating and air conditioning system. 

Production ran from 1989 – 1994 before being replaced by the last air-cooled Porsche the 993.

This example was delivered new by Hamilton’s, Melbourne in 1990 and has travelled a little over 158,000 kms.
