Featuring a 1.5 Litre Coventry Climax Twin Cam Engine, this detail accurate recreation of the Famous “Sabakat” (Lotus 12) racing car with CAMS Certificate of Description and Log Book..

Originally imported by Ern Tadgell in pieces the “Sabakat” raced in numerous events throughout Australia from 1957 to 1960 including the 1959 and 1960 Australian Grand Prix. The car was all but destroyed in a fiery accident at the 1960 Australia Grand Prix in Lowood Queensland.

This recreation was constructed between 1971 and 1979 after the 1960 Grand Prix accident and represents the car as it was in 1957. This car is ready to be enjoyed and comes with a current CAMS CoD and Historic Group Lb log book. Please contact us for more details.
