With the final model of the series came the more powerful 2088 cc Vanguard engine and other changes.
The bodywork, still in the style of designer Frank Callaby , featured the stylish dual cowl design with occasional rear seats and a large front seat capable of seating 3 people.
Expensive when new, largely owing to the almost hand built bodywork, incorporating an alloy skinned main body with steel front and rear mudguards.
This Australian delivered TR was domiciled in NSW for many years before arriving in Melbourne in 2006. Between 2007 and 2015 a major mechanical restoration was undertaken to the tune of over $23,000, and the invoices indicate a full engine rebuild together with suspension, brake and steering work. A full rewire was carried out .
This stylish , yet useable classic , as portrayed in the Bergerac BBC drama series , has a healthy receipt file plus the TR Roadster driver’s handbook, technical manual, and full Triumph Service Manual.
